Learning to leave your burdens with the Lord

He Careth For You

1 Pet. 5:7

Возлагая всякую заботу вашу на него; ибо он заботится о вас.

1. Where there is victory there is going to be a counter attack.

  ILL. When you’ve seen the Lord working, watch how difficulties will show up – relationship, work, paycheck, weather, delays, etc. They will show up.

  ILL. Many of you may understand what it is to bear a burden.

  ILL. A brick layer bear burdens. Carrying some heavy loads.

  ILL. Ladies constantly carrying bags of groceries, selling them at the market. Etc.

2. You must see this verse in light of the context – humility, pride, and devil.

Is there a heart bound by sorrow?

Is there a life weighed down by care?

3. Everybody deals with sorrow and care most of their life.

Cares can cause physical problems – no sleep, lack of concentration, nervousness, etc.

Cares can cause sin. Sin can cause cares.

I. SCOPE OF CARE “all of your care.”

To suppose that some cares are too insignificant to take to God in prayer is not to honour Him, but unnecessarily to burden ourselves.

  ILL. “It has been said that “white ants pick a carcass quicker and cleaner than a lion does”; and so these little cares may even more effectually destroy our peace than a single great trouble if, in our mistaken reverence for God’s greatness, we refuse to cast them upon Him.

1. Carnal cares

Unnecessary cares proud cares, wrong relationships, etc.

No humility, no subjection, context.

  ILL. Spurgeon “More humility – more tranquility.”

  ILL. False-accusations against you.

  ILL. “They are lying about me” So what. What did you expect?

  ILL. “Well, my wife has mistreated me” Well, what else is new. 

2. Covetous cares

Not what you want but what you need.

Prov. 30:7 When you get too much you have a tendency to forget about God.

  When you don’t have too much you become fretful.

3. Ambition cares

Honor, eminence,

II. VARIOUS CARES

1. Cares

  1 Pet. 1:6, 7 cares of tried faith

  1 Pet. 2:12 care of ridicule (осмеяние)

  2:19 care of suffering wrongfully

  3:1-7 care of disobedience in the home, relationships

  ILL. Families whose house is suffering (Adam and Eve) “He did it, she did it.”

  Cain ends up murdering Abel.

“Every relationship requires maintenance.” It’s work. It takes a lot of grace.

  3:8-10 care relationships in the body of Christ.

If there is one place where I’d like to go and find peace is in the church.

  2 Cor. 11:28 care of all the churches

III. CASTING OF CARE “casting” It’s a command!

1. Get rid of it. Dump it.

  ILL. Sack of weight that I threw down. 

2. 2 Cor. 10:3-6 “Casting down…”

  ILL. The apostles “cast” (Lk. 19:35)

33 И когда они отвязывали осленка, хозяева его сказали им, Зачем отвязываете осленка?

34 И они сказали, Господь имеет нужду в нем.

35 И привели его к Иисусу: и на­кинули одежды свои на осленка, и посадили на него Иисуса.

It was a transfer of clothing, casting. It was an act of flinging something away. The went in a different direction.

  ILL. People who control, there is no trust.

  ILL. People who lose much are not humbles but still want to control.

3. It’s a matter of letting go and trusting God.

Psa. 37:5 Вверь путь твой ГОСПОДУ; упо­вай также на него; и он осуществит.

IV. UNNECESSARY CARE

  There are cares (burdens) that you do not have to bear

  Есть бремя, что Вы можете необязательно носить прямо сейчас.

1. The Burden of Unforgiven sins непрощающий

  a.) Christ died to carry your sins.

3:18 Ибо и Христос однажды по­страдал за грехи, праведный за не­праведных, чтобы привести нас к Богу, будучи предан смерти во пло­ти, но оживлен Духом:

4:3 carrying your past sins. You bring unnecessary sins of the past up again. 

2. The Burden of Fear of death, or hell

1. Jesus Christ conquered death and hell for you.

2. If you have Jesus Christ

  You have access to death, through death and out the other side right into heaven.

  ILL. For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

1 Иоанна 4:18  В любви нет страха; но совершенная любовь изгоняет страх: потому что страх имеет мучение. Кто боится, тот не сделался совершенным в любви.

3. Worrying about something.

6 Не заботьтесь НИ О ЧЕМ; но ВО ВСЕМ посредством молитвы и мо­ления с благодарением пусть ваши просьбы делаются известными Богу.

7 И мир Божий, который превос­ходит всякое понимание, соблюдет сердца ваши и умы ваши через Хри­ста Иисуса.

Также тот, кто принял семя среди колючек, есть тот, кто слы­шит слово; и забота мира этого, и обманчивость богатства, заглушает слово, и он становится бесплодным.

40 Но Марфа заботилась о боль­шом обслуживании, и подошла к нему, и сказала, Господь, разве тебя не заботит, что сестра моя одну меня оставила служить? скажи ей по­этому, чтобы помогла мне.

41 И Иисус ответил и сказал ей, Марфа, Марфа, ты заботишься и беспокоишься о многом:

42 Но нужно одно: и Мария из­брала ту добрую часть, которая не отнимется у нее.

4. The Burden of a Grudge Against Somebody

  i. Forget what someone has done against you.

  ILL. Trying to constantly kick some dog that bit you.

  ii. It can be dangerous.

V. CARELESS CARING

1. Christians Refuse to Pick Up Their Own Burden.

  ILL. Матф. 23:4 ибо они говорят, и не делают.

4 Ибо они связывают бремена тяжелые и мучительные, чтобы но­сить, и возлагают их на плечи лю­дям; но они сами не хотят подвинуть их [ни] одним из пальцев своих.

“That doesn’t concern me”

Psa. 55:6-8

6 И я сказал, О если бы я имел крылья, как голубь! ибо тогда я уле­тел бы, и был бы в покое.

7 Вот, тогда я бы ушел далеко, и оставался бы в дикой местности. Селб.

8 Я бы ускорил побег свой от ве­тряной бури и урагана.

i. “Escape” is not always the answer. You take yourself with you. You may be the problem.

VI. HOW TO LIGHTEN THE CARE (burden) 

1. Praying with tears

  i. You can tell how people get hardened is by the lack of tears.

  ii. Tears and humor are good cures to help your burdens.

  ILL. 2 Kings 20:1-3 tears help. God sees them.

  ILL. Esther 8:3

3 ¶  И продолжала Есфирь говорить перед царем, и пала у ног его, и умоляла его со слезами отвратить зло, и замысел его, который он замыслил против иудеев.

  ILL. Acts 20:19 Paul describes his ministry

2. Continually, “casting” Time can lighten the burden

  i. But more importantly it is a matter of the heart.

  ii. It is a dependence, fellowship, talking with the Lord.

  ILL. Time and laughter

3. Trustingly

  i. Rom. 8:28 is still in the Book. Providence

4. Resolutely, completely. Leave it there. 

Getting Someone Else To Bear It. кто-нибудь еще, чтобы нести это.

  ILL. Picking up logs бревно The Lord will always hold up his end.

He won’t give you more that you can carry.

6. Seek Counsel from others

7. Bear Someone else’s Burden (Gal. 6:2)

VII. WHERE TO CARRY THE CARE “upon Him”

Псалтирь 55:22 Возложи на ГОСПОДА бремя твое, и он поддержит тебя: никогда не даст он поколебаться праведному.

1. It seems as though no man will care for your soul.

VIII. RESULTS

1. Renewed strength “sustain” “и он поддержит тебя”

2. Revelation “He careth for you.”

3. Security “никогда не даст он поколебаться праведному.”

4. A fresh start.

Invitation

Sinner, are you carrying a heavy load of care?

Come to the Lord Jesus Christ. He’ll take that load of burdens and cares.

The sweet gentle peace of God will enter. Let Him in!

Psa. 38:4 бо беззакония мои превысили голову мою: как тяжелое бремя, они слишком тяжелы для меня.

Psa. 142:4 4 Смотрел на правую сторону свою, и вглядывался, но не было там никого, кто бы узнал меня: не стало для меня убежища; никто не заботился о ДУШЕ моей.

Nobody can care for your soul, but the one who made the soul – the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mk. 8:36 Ибо какая польза человеку, если он приобретет весь мир, а ДУШУ свою потеряет?

28 ¶ Придите ко мне все, кто тру­дится и тяжело обременен, и я дам вам покой.

29 Возьмите ярмо мое на себя, и научитесь от меня; ибо я кроток и смирен сердцем: и найдете покой душам вашим.

30 Ибо ярмо мое нетрудно, и бре­мя мое легко.
