Конспект тематической игры – соревнования для учащихся 5-х классов

Тема:  Достопримечательности Лондона

Цель: Обобщение изученного материала по теме «Лондон».

Задачи:

1. Совершенствовать и контролировать навыки  монологической речи.

2. Активизировать лексико-грамматические навыки.

3. Воспитывать любознательность, активность и уважение к одноклассникам при работе в группах.

Оборудование: видеофильм о Лондоне (для озвучивания), задания для команд, задания для капитанов, разрезанные картинки (пазлы) с видами Лондона.

Ход игры:

1. Организационный момент.

Приветствие и сообщение темы игры-соревнования, ее цели.

Учитель сообщает детям о проведении ролевой игры-соревнования «Путешествие в Лондон».  Учащиеся разделились на три команды - три группы туристов. За каждый конкурс команда может получить определенное количество баллов.

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you. How are you? Sit down, please. Today we’ll have a competition “Places of Interest In London”. You have made three teams each under a captain. You will have different tasks. You must be active (not noisy) and friendly. We also have three members of our jury today. They are… .

2. Проведение игры-соревнования.

Конкурс. «Визитная карточка».

Совершенствование навыков монологической речи:

- название, капитан;

- короткий рассказ о себе и своих друзьях – членах команды, их увлечениях (10-12 предложений)

- закончить рассказ словами “ We would like to visit London”

Teacher: Let’s start round1. It is called “A Calling card”. We are going to listen to your team’s name and a short story about the members of your team. You should finish with the words: “We would like to visit London”. The team can get 3 points for the calling card if it is very good, 2 points if it is good, and 1 point if it is OK. Ready? Teacher: It’s time to start the second round. It is “Warming up”. Now listen while I explain the rules. I’m going to ask someone in the first team a question. If she or he answers correctly, I’ll give the team two points. If he or she makes a grammar mistake – 1 point, if he or she doesn’t know the answer, she/he can ask his/her teammates for help. If they get it right, I’ll give the team one point. But if they give the wrong answer or no answer, I’ll ask another  team. If they know the right answer, they score two points. No point for the team if I hear anybody whispering. Ready? Team …, go first.

Конкурс «Комментарий к видеофильму»: организационный момент.

Активизация полученных знаний в монологической речи учащихся.

Teacher: Let’s start round 3. You’re going to make and act out a London sight’s video script. Now I’ll invite three people from each team to act as guides at one of the places of great interest in London. You will have 20 minutes to prepare a sight’s video script of 10-12 sentences. Then you will act out as guides one by one. Go downstairs with… and follow her instructions.

Развитие навыков чтения как вида речевой деятельности.

Teacher: And we shall start round 4. It is called “More facts”. In this round you will learn something new about the people and the places in London already known to you. You will have to get 23 points for this task. Your time limit is 10 minutes. Pay attention to the spelling. Are you ready to start? (Teams’ work on their own)

Teacher: Your time is up. Hand in your papers. I’m giving them to our jury. They will count the number of points you’ve got. What are the results?

                                                               

Конкурс. «Конкурс капитанов»: организационный момент.

Развитие лексико-грамматических навыков письменной речи.

Teacher: And it is high time to start round 5. This is the round for the captains. I’ll call them to come up to my table with their pencils and rubbers. I’m giving you the task: You have 7 minutes to think about the way of making a story on the topic “London” using the words in the cards in the sentences of your own.” Take separate desks in the back of the class and do the task properly.

Конкурс «Puzzle».

Самостоятельная работа учащихся в группе.

Teacher: While our captains are working individually, you’ll do the puzzles. Each team will have a chance to do a puzzle of one of the places of interest in London. What place? Each team gets a card with a description of the place they are going to guess and do the puzzle. If everything is OK, the team will get 5 points. Your time limit is 7 minutes.

Teacher: Stop. Your time is up. I’ll invite the members of our jury to come up to the teams’ desks and decide on the number of points.

If the riddle is guessed right and the puzzle is done, the team gets 5 points.

If the riddle is guessed but the puzzle is half-done, the team gets 3 points.

If the riddle is guessed right but the puzzle is only begun, the team gets 1 point.

If the riddle isn’t guessed right, the team scores no point.

Teacher: Your time is up. Hand in your papers. I’m giving them to our jury. They will count the number of points you’ve got. What are the results?

Контроль монологической речи.

Teacher: Now each captain is ready to read out the story. The jury will count the number of the sentences and see if the story is well written (3 points), good (2 points), or OK (1 point). If there is no story, but sentences only - 0 points.

Конкурс№3. «Комментарий к видеофильму»: продолжение.

Контроль монологической речи учащихся.

Teacher: The last round is an excursion. We’ll invite our guides and they‘ll take us on an interesting excursion one by one. The members of our jury will count the number of the sentences and see if the video script is correct in grammar (the team will lose 2 points if the grammar is bad), and suits the video (the team will score 3 points more).

We’ll see who gets the most points: How many points does…get?

3. Подведение итогов игры-соревнования.

Teacher: I think our visit to London is coming to the end. We are going to hear the results. We’ll see who gets the most points. Who is the third prize winner? Who is the second prize winner? Who is the winner/champion?
