This article deals with the problem of formation of professional communicative competence of cadets in the departmental institution in the process of of self-training. On the basis of Perm Institute of the Federal Penal Service of Russia the author describes the process of organizing the self-training of cadets. For the organization of self-study, the author proposes to use a system of remote training «Prometheus». Based on it created an electronic educational-methodical complex of the discipline. To navigate in e-teaching and methodical complex allows the map, which is built on the basis of a thematic index. All the structural elements of the map feature as hypertext documents.
