Урок совершенствования навыков монологической речи.

Цели:

Совершенствование навыков монологической речи.

Предметное содержание речи:

употребление активной лексики по теме школа, школьные предметы, качества характера, оборудование школьных кабинетов.

Задачи.

Образовательные:

1. Активизировать употребление лексики по теме.

2. Практиковать обучающихся в устной речи.

3. Совершенствование навыков работы с компьютером в среде РowerPoint на английском языке.

4. Совершенствование произносительных и грамматических навыков говорения.

Развивающие.

1. Развитие творческих способностей обучающихся, образного мышления, памяти.

2. Развитие коммуникативной компетенции.

3. Развитие информационной (готовность к работе с информационными источниками) и  образовательной (готовность к самообразованию, в т. ч. способность к получению знаний из различных источников) компетентности обучающихся.

Воспитательные:

1.Развитие творческих способностей обучающихся, формирование навыков самостоятельной работы и работы в группе.

2. Развитие положительной мотивации и познавательного интереса к изучаемому материалу и процессу учебной деятельности.

3. Воспитание толерантного отношения к другому мнению.

4. Воспитание гордости за свой колледж.

Сопутствующая задача:

развитие умения читать с детальным пониманием содержания и с целью извлечения конкретной информации.

Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you. What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? Right, today is Thursday.

Ok. We come today to the college as usually. Our college is our Alma Mater. Today we`ll speak about it. So, our theme is “My College”. And at our lesson we are going to revise words and word combinations in order to improve your vocabulary skills and talk about your college. We will also work and act out a dialogue on the theme.

First of all we should prepare for the lessons. Can you go to college without your bags? Of course, you can’t. That’s why you should pack your bag. Look at the screen. Imagine this is your bag but it is empty. Let’s put into it all things which we need at school every day. Listen to me and guess what it is. (Учащиеся прослушивают описание, догадываются, о чем идет речь, и называют школьные принадлежности по-английски, изображение которых появляется на экране.)

So you have guessed all the words. Well done. Now we are ready for the lessons. It’s time to speak about your college subjects. First of all we should remember their names. Look at the picture on the blackboard and think of the name of a subject that it illustrates. (Учащиеся догадываются по картинке, о каком предмете идет речь, вспоминают его название, затем один учащийся подходит к доске и прикрепляет слово рядом с картинкой.)

So you study a lot of useful subjects at the college and these pictures show us that every day you learn a lot of interesting things at your lessons. Now let’s remember what exactly you do at each lesson. We are going to work in pairs and do the exercise on the sheet of paper. Your task is to match the words with the name of a subject. So, boys, I see that you like most of your subjects but they all are very different. Now I’d like to know your opinion about them. We are going to work in pairs. You task is to decide what subjects you like and what subjects you don’t like and why.

What else can we say about the college? It is a building, isn`t it? Read the text and say if this college is really beyond dreams. Then say: Would you like to study there?

From my point of view our college is modern and well-designed. It is a three-storey building with a sports ground behind it. I really think it is the best educational institution in Moscow. We even have an inside swimming pool!

On the ground floor there are the classrooms for the first-year students, workshops and a library. There are all kinds of tools and machines in the workshops. In the library two librarians help students to find the books they need. In the reading room there are laptops which we can use during the breaks and after classes.

Our canteen is spacious, light and clean. We have our meals there.

The physical training lessons take place in the gymnasium and the swimming pool. We like to go there even after the lessons. To the left of the gym there is a hall and a staircase. The staircase leads to the first floor.

The classrooms are well-equipped. Each room has a teacher's table, students' desks, a board, a computer and a multimedia projection unit. There are special classrooms for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, English and Russian. My English classroom is on the second floor. It has three big windows. There are lots of potted plants on the window sills, and we take good care of them. The board in our classroom is magnetic. We write with markers on it and attach our projects to it with magnets. Next to the board there are maps of Russia and Great Britain, various grammar tables and charts. There is a computer in the right-hand corner. We often listen to original English texts, songs and watch films on a big screen which make our lessons interesting.

I like my college. It provides us with everything to help us become good specialists.

Example:  My college is modern four-storey building. In front of the college we can see flowerbeds with bright flowers. There are workshops behind it. The college is equipped with modern equipment. The teachers use laptops and multimedia projectors at the lessons. Our teachers are kind and knowledgeable.  My favourite subjects are Maths and PE. On the lessons we study numbers, run and jump. There are classrooms, a gym, an assembly hall and a headmaster room on the ground floor. Our students try to take good care of the college.  I think our college is the best.

Домашнее задание. Подведение итогов урока.

Well done, your stories are good and informative.  But we`ve forgotten about one part of our associations. We haven`t spoken about traditions in our college. Do you know anything about it? So your home task is to learn the stories by heart and to add information about traditions too.
