«World of professional English»
В конкурсе принимают участие шесть команд (будущие медицинские сестры), по четыре представителя.
Цель: Активизация речевой деятельности студентов. Развитие умения применения коллективной игры, развитие познавательных способностей студентов посредством специально созданных ситуаций.
Оборудование: таблицы, медицинские инструменты, фантомы, экран, проектор, средства для оказания первой помощи.
Ведущий: Good afternoon dear students, our guests! We are glad to see you. Thank you for coming to this party. Today we are going to take part in the competition “World of professional English”. 6 teams will take part in it and there’ll be four games. We greet you at our competition. Our competition is taken place according to the day of Medical nurse. We congratulate you with this holiday! Today’s competition will be watched by our experts. Not meet the participants of our competition! Team captains, come here to determine the order your team will be asking. (Команды представляют свои названия и девизы)
I. The first task is “Brainstorming”. Every right answer gives one point to your team.
1. Make up the sentences.

II. The second task is “Diseases’’
Ведущий: Teams captain, come here to choose one card. The task is to tell the symptoms and the treatment of some diseases. I’ll give you time for preparing.

III. The third task is “The first aid’’
Ведущий: The whole life of a nurse is devoted to people. She is responsible for her patient. Every nurse must have enough knowledge of her work. She must help her patients at any hour of the day or night. That’s why you should know how to help a person in different situations.
Situation 1. If you help a person who lost his consciousness.
Situation 2. If you help a person who is in shock.
Situation 3. If you help a person with poisoning.
Situation 4. If you help a person who has a sunstroke.
Situation 5. If you help a person who has a fracture.
Situation 6. If you help a person who has a bleeding.

IV. The third task is “Future profession’’
Ведущий: Role-play. You are a future nurse. And you must know all about nurse’s duties. Let’s start. Show us, please your work.
