We know that having a good education is important. But we’re interested in more than just someone with a degree. We are looking for the perfect engineer!

So what qualities must the perfect engineer have?

Obviously, we need an engineer with technical competency. Basic common sense is a must. Furthermore, having dependability means that we trust you. Most importantly, we need an outgoing person with excellent interpersonal skills. We want an engineer with the courage to tell us when things are going wrong.

Our perfect engineer has good organizational skills and uses quantitative thinking to assess the work. He or she enjoys the challenge of problem solving – this means having the curiosity to ask questions. And more than anything else, our perfect engineer thinks about projects in the long-term and what they mean for the company.

IV. How can good qualities for engineers be developed? Your answer should be NOT a text but a scheme with pictures and key words.

  Критерии оценки

Олимпиада включает чтение текста (I), задания на понимание его содержания (II, III), а также творческое задание (IV). Письменный перевод текста НЕ требуется! Оцениваются задания II, III, IV. Максимальное количество баллов за все задания – 30.

Каждый правильный ответ в заданиях II и III оценивается в один балл. Таким образом, максимальная оценка за задание II – 3 балла, за задание III – 7 баллов. При оценке задания  IV учитывается содержательность схемы (максимальное количество баллов – 10), а также ее языковое и графическое оформление (максимальное количество баллов – 10).

Правила оформления работы

1. Работа представляется в печатном или рукописном варианте.

2. Ответ на задание II представляет собой три комбинации цифры (номер вопроса) и буквы (номер ответа).

3. Ответ на задание III представляет собой семь комбинаций цифры (номер слова) и буквы (номер дефиниции).

4. Ответ на задание IV представляет собой опорную схему, включающую рисунки, различные графические элементы и ключевые слова.

5. Задания должны выполняться в том же порядке, в котором они изложены:
