Цели и задачи:
Практиковать учащихся в употреблении лексики по теме «Покупки».
Практиковать учащихся в чтении с целью извлечения конкретной информации, полного понимания содержания.
Учить высказывать предположения, используя ранее полученные знания и интуицию.
Учить обобщать полученную информацию, используя речевые модели.
Развивать речевые навыки, умение вести диалог с обменом мнений.
Учить редактировать текст и оформлять его для последующей презентации.
Развивать умение воспринимать на слух монологическую речь носителя языка.
Развивать умение письменно оформить и передать запрашиваемую информацию.
Развивать мыслительные возможности учащихся.
Развивать умение трансформировать содержание, чтобы оно соответствовало личным мыслям, желаниям, мнениям учащихся.
Развивать способности к подбору речевых средств, адекватных цели и ситуации, к импровизации.
Поддерживать интерес к учению и формированию познавательной активности.

Речевой материал: Consumer, household chores, mobile phone, pocket money, resist, retailer, shopping spree, student loan, survive, catch up, hand out, save up, splash out, dig deep in one’s pocket, make ends meet.
Оснащение урока: все компоненты УМК, аудиозапись, функциональная схема диалога.
План.
I. Введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения.
1.Речевая разминка. In order to stimulate discussion and interest we’ll look through pictures and title of lesson. What does the picture show? How is it related to the title of the text? What are the two teenagers doing? Why is the girl so happy? What are the bags behind them?
2.Фонетическая зарядка на основе пословицы:
A blind leader of the blind. У слепого слепой поводырь.
3.Сообщение перспектив урока. Today we’ll learn about spending money, hobbies and personalities, being responsible with money.

Reading

Predicting the content of a text. Прогнозирование содержания текста – чтение текста в сопровождении аудиозаписи с целью проверки предположений.
Предполагаемый ответ:
A: British teenagers spend their money on clothes, mobile phone cards, sweets and bus fares.
B: You’re right. They also spend it on computer games, going out and magazines/books/comics, etc.

Understanding new words
Guessing the meaning of the word from the context only, then explain the words in bold by giving a definition, synonym, etc.

I get 50 altogether each week. My parents give me 20 and I get another 30 from my part-time job. I usually spend some of my money on going out, especially to the cinema. I’m a real movie fan. I manage to save some each week so I think I manage my money quite well. At the moment I’m saving up to buy an MP3 player.
