Учитель:

Тема: Только мы можем спасти Байкал (We are the only people to save the Baikal).

Тип урока: комбинированный. 

Деятельностная цель:

Формирование способности обучающихся к структурированию и систематизации изучаемого предметного материала.

Образовательная цель:

Перенос изученного лексико-грамматического материала в ситуации речевого общения на материале о Байкале. Обучение лексике по теме "Экология".

Развивающая цель:

Развитие лексических навыков, навыков поискового чтения, говорения по теме.

Воспитательная цель:

Развитие стремления к лучшему осознанию серьёзности непростой экологической ситуации, сложившейся вокруг Байкала. Повышение интереса к природоохранным общественным мероприятиям, направленным на улучшение качества жизни в нашем регионе.

Технологии: Развитие критического мышления,  ИКТ-технология.

Методы: Аудиолингвистический, коммуникативный.

Формирование УУД:

Личностные – развивать умение строить жизненные планы с учётом общественных потребностей, позиционировать себя в обществе, определять какие умения для этого надо иметь и планировать в соответствии с этим свою будущую деятельность.

Познавательные – устанавливать причинно-следственные связи, ориентироваться в  своей системе знаний (определять границы знания/незнания);

Регулятивные – определять и формулировать цель деятельности на уроке, оценивать, осуществлять самоконтроль;

Коммуникативные - адекватно использовать речевые средства для решения различных коммуникативных задач (слушать и понимать речь других, уметь с достаточной полнотой и точностью выражать свои мысли).

Староста класса передаёт учащимся информацию, полученную на школьном совете старост.

P1. Yesterday I attended the school council where we were introduced with the invitation from the Irkutsk State University. Let me show you their leaflet on the screen.

T. Certainly, you are welcome. You have the leaflets on your desks and on the screen.

На экране – брошюра. Дети читают её про себя.

P1. What do you think of it?

P2. Actually, I believe it's a great opportunity for our group. We can't miss it. But we are to have a program.

P1. Who has got any experience in ecological projects?

P3. I've been to the Baikal several times. I saw the people cleaning the shore. It seemed to me they had fun and work at the same time.

P4. I haven't participated in such activities but I don't mind practicing English and working together.

P5. As for me, why not going there in summer? I want to become a biologist when grown-up so it would be interesting for me to watch its unique species of animals and plants.

T. As I see the invitation has interested you but it requires having our own program containing some proposals. Indeed, lake Baikal is under the threat. There are a lot of environmental problems around it, unfortunately.

By the way, what do you know about the Baikal?

P6. It's the deepest lake on the Earth.

P7. Its water is the purest on the planet.

P8. The scientists predict it might become the ocean in future.

P9. Its beautiful and unique nature attracts people.

T. Well, that's enough, thank you. As you know, it's declared the world's heritage. And we'll try to keep it clean and alive.

And I hope "We are the only people to save the "Baikal".

P1. Well, I've searched the Internet recently and found an extract of the local news program. Perhaps it will be useful for us. Sorry, it's in Russian.

T. Now it's high time to watch the film. You will do it twice. Make notes while watching. Translate them into English.

Короткий фильм демонстрируется дважды и учащиеся делают записи о проблемах Байкала в тетрадях, переводя увиденное на английский язык.

T. Well done. Traditionally, to talk on a new topic we need to learn or remind some words. You have two minutes to look through the list of words on your handouts and do the lexical exercise. Put down only a figure and a letter.

Дети самостоятельно выполняют лексическое упражнение в тетрадях.

Учитель быстро просматривает записи учащихся и объявляет правильный ответ.

T. To get more information on the topic I suggest you reading the text on the papers. Then you should do exercise 2 on the papers. The task is to answer the questions on the text. Find the proper sentences in the text and underline them. You have 5 minutes.

T. So let's determine the main ecological problems of the Baikal and put them down. Collect all the information. Use your notes written after the film, underlined sentences in the text and your own ideas.

Cl. Pollution. Deforestation, destroying flora and fauna. Plenty of rubbish.

Первичная проверка понимания.

Учитель записывает на доске 3 основные проблемы Байкала.

T. Now, be ready to discuss the information on the problems in groups to find out any possible solutions. Remember, the result of your cooperation will become a part of our future program which will allow us to participate in the ecological summer camp.

Класс делится на 3 группы (по количеству проблем), дети обсуждают данную проблему, высказываясь по очереди, и  записывают свои предложения по её решению. (5-6 мин.)

P1. I think the most danger for the Baikal comes from enterprises located on the shore. They take a lot of pure water from it and dump dirty water into the lake.

P2. In this case it will be useful to check up the whole industrial process and make them set modern filters to clear back water.

P3. I strongly believe that there mustn't  be any plants or factories on the shore of the Baikal. Our local government must solve the problem by replacing or liquidating such enterprises….

Первичное закрепление.

T. Children, the time is over. Are you ready to represent your suggestions to the class? You are welcome.

Представитель от каждой группы озвучивает предложения, рекомендации по решению данной экологической проблемы, являющиеся результатом групповой работы учащихся по теме. (5-6 мин.)

Контроль усвоения, обсуждение допущенных ошибок и их коррекция.

На усмотрение учителя, обратить внимание учащихся на допущенные ими в ходе урока фонетические, лексические, грамматические ошибки, исправить их.(2 мин.)

Информация о домашнем задании, инструктаж по его выполнению.

T. At home you should continue working on the topic. At class we were short of time making suggestions. Your task is to think of the ecological problem once more and come up with more possible solutions. Make up a list of them. Don't forget to learn the words on the topic.

Дети записывают домашнее задание в дневники. (2 мин.)

Рефлексия (подведение итогов занятия).

Учитель озвучивает оценки учащихся за урок. Учащиеся заполняют таблицу рефлексии.
