Скрипт текста для прослушивания:
I am Tom. I am twelve. I have two younger brothers, Alex and Max. Alex is seven, and Max is six.
We live in London in a big building with a lot of neighbours. Mother doesn’t like it here. She’s from
Ireland and she misses the green grass and fresh air. Mother and Father wanted to move to a village.
So they bought a house there.
What can I say? I don’t know. My friends are in London, and my school is in London. Do I really want
to move? My brothers are happy about it. In the new house they will play football in the garden and
perhaps our parents will buy a dog for them. They really want a dog and now they can have one.
I saw the pictures of our new house. Now I think it’s not such a bad idea. The best thing about it is the
garden. It’s very large and overgrown. I am going to ask Father to leave it as it is. I want to explore all
of the plants and animals in it. There are birds and other small creatures. I can write about them every
day im my diary.

Read the story and choose the correct answers.
Five hundred years ago, in Edinburgh, there lived a boy. His name was Robin MacWizard. When Robin was two, his mother died, so he lived with his father. His father was a great wizard. He liked to help people and was always away. The farmers needed good weather, the lords needed help with their cast-
les, their ladies wanted love - Robin’s father helped everybody. R obin was not interested in magic,
but he could do a lot of magic things too. He was very clever and brave, and everybody liked him.
At that time, Scotland was poor and weak. Life for the Scots was very hard.
Robin and his father wanted to help their country. “Scotland must become strong and rich again,” they
always repeated.
Robin believed in an old Scottish legend about the Stone of Destiny. He believed that the Stone could
help his country but it was lost to Scotland. The Stone of Destiny was in Westminster Abbey in London. The legend says that one day, Robin travelled in time to the London of the future.
While he was there, something happened: the door to his own time closed and he couldn’t return. His
Father started to get worried about Robin. The wizard couldn’t eat or sleep. He waited for his son by the window. One cold winter morning, somebody knocked at the door. It was Robin.
That’s the legend. But where was the Stone of Destiny? There’s nothing more about it in the legend, so
I don’t think Robin could bring it back. Why do you want to know?
Because I am Robin MacWizard. I am your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather.
I have to go back to my time and help your brother Rob come home.
Robin’s father was… a) a poor man b) a great wizard c) the Scottish king Robin could… a) do some magic things b) speak a lot of languages c) help people The Stone of Destiny was… a) in Edinburgh b) in London c) in Paris Robin travelled in time, because… he wanted to help his country he wanted to see his relatives in the future he wanted to see his mother again Why was Robin’s father sad? Because everybody needed his help. Because Scotland was a very poor country. Because his son couldn’t come back to his time.ГОВОРЕНИЕ
