Продолжительность: 45 минут.
Цель занятия: расширение знаний о Великобритании.
Задачи:
- познакомить учащихся с историей Великобритании;
- развивать интерес к изучению иностранного языка;
- активизировать лексико-грамматический материал в устной речи учащихся;
- расширять кругозор учащихся.
Оснащение занятия:
Раздаточный материал (распечатки с текстами и заданиями),
Мультимедийное оборудование (компьютер, проектор), презентация PowerPoint.
Ход занятия
Педагог: Hello children! I’m glad to see you!
Учащиеся: Hello teacher! We’re glad to see you too.
Педагог: So, let’s begin our lesson. And the theme of our lesson is Great Britain. But before to know something about this country, let’s try the new words.
Педагог: а теперь давайте прочитаем слова, относящиеся к теме нашего занятия. Потренируем нашу фонетику:

There are many sights in Great Britain. The most famous of them is Stonehenge. It is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire. It is believed to be 5,000 years old (Slide 11)
The University of Cambridge is public university located in Cambridge, United Kingdom. It is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is one of the best universities in the world. (Slide 12)
Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London. The tower is 96.3 metres high. (Slide 13)
Buckingham Palace is the London home and residence of the British monarch. Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms. Buckingham Palace is the Queens official London residence. (Slide 14)
Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in London, and one of the Royal Parks of London. (Slide 15)
