В ходе изучения Раздела №1 «Two Capitals» учащиеся 6 класса должны освоить:
- лексические единицы по теме устной речи (appear, found, move, rebuild, defend, turn, cathedral, architect, century, enemy, column, tzar, monument, bank, still, statue); устойчивые словосочетания с глаголами to take (a train, a plane, a taxi), to miss (a train, a plane, a bus); уметь сочетать их в предложениях с предлогами.
- различать лексическое значение синонимичных слов, - высокий tall/high: tall - люди или вытянутые предметы с узким основанием, high - вытяутые предметы с широким основанием); hear/listen: listen – слушать, hear слышать.
- сформировать лексико-грамматическим навык употребления
- неопределенных местоимений (everybody – все, everything - все'', nobody - никто, nothing - ничего, somebody - кто-нибудь, something - что-нибудь, anybody - кто-либо, anything - что либо) в предложениях различного типа; наречий меры, - много - a lot, many для исчисляемых существительных, much — для неисчисляемых существительных, мало — few для исчисляемых существительных, little для неисчисляемых существительных в предложениях различного типа; определенного артикля с достопримечательностями, уникальными в своем роде the Kremlin, the Summer Gardens, с названиями театров The Bolshoi Theatre, музеев The Pushkin Museum, the Hermitage, картинных галерей the Tretyakov Gallery, с названиями рек и морей the Neva river.
