Тема, в рамках которой рекомендовано использование заданий: “Changing times, changing styles” («Меняются времена, меняются стили»).  Можно использовать  при изучении темы “Do you have an example to follow?” («Есть ли у тебя образец для подражания?», 7 класс),  а также в старших классах на уроках, посвященных известным людям Британии.

Этап обучения: совершенствование лексических навыков чтения; развитие умений в поисковом чтении; контроль уровня сформированности навыков чтения

Краткая рекомендация для педагога:

Предтекстовые упражнения выполняются устно. Задания после текста могут выполняться как устно, так и письменно. Если в задании 1учащиеся отвечают на вопросы письменно, то можно ограничиться краткими ответами. Если устно, то учащиеся дают развернутые ответы. Если задание 2 после текста выполняется устно, то учащиеся должны обосновать свой выбор на основе текста. Используйте в работе на уроке аутентичные тексты с английских сайтов. Это развивает у обучающихся умение работать с неадаптированными текстами.

Краткая инструкция для обучающихся:

НЕ нашли? Не то? Что вы ищете?
Убедитесь, что вы четко представляете, какую информацию нужно найти в тексте. Не останавливайтесь при чтении на каждом незнакомом слове, незначительной информации. Обращайте особое внимание на опознавательные знаки, слова, которые могут подсказать, где в тексте находится необходимая информация (заглавные буквы – для ответа на вопрос кто?, где?, цифры – сколько?, когда и т. д)

Правильные ответы:

Part I. Часть 1

Задание 1. Учащиеся высказывают свои предположения о роде занятий женщины, которая изображена на фото: «May be, she is an artist. She is very colourful», и т. д. После высказанных вариантов, учитель предлагает вместе выяснить, кто из учащихся оказался прав.

Задание 2. Учащиеся выполняют предтекстовые упражнения, что в дальнейшем поможет им лучше понять текст  и правильно произносить слова. Они находят

- слова, относящиеся к миру моды: fashion, textile, to make dresses, collection, jewellery, costumes, designer,  make-up и т. д.

- имена известных людей:

- географические названия

- даты

- названия известных оперных театров/опер/фильмов
