  1. Mass media play an important role in our life. Many things make a good journalist. He meets many people. He tries to understand what is going on in the world, country and city and tries to explain it to the other people.

  1. Even journalists can't agree which of them are more important. The work of a journalist is very much like that of a historian. A historian studies and tries to explain the events of the past and the journalists do the same about the present.

  1. First of all a journalist must be interested in people of every type. And then all doors in the world of journalism will be open for him, to hear and understand the problem of another is to be a professional in their field.

  1. One who has not this interest in people will not make a good journalist. Perhaps then he will have to become a person from the media sphere: work in the media (editor, producer) or work on the radio.

  1. These are important qualities of a journalist. A journalist should have the qualities of sympathy, open mindedness and an inquiring mind. Sympathy (so that you can see the other side of the problem, even if you do not agree with the person with whom it is connected), open-mindedness (so that you do not make hasty, judgments because of ignorance) and an inquiring mind (so that you can really understand the essence of what are you asking about)

  1. He needs to have humility. It is also important for a journalist. Only those students will be true journalists who feel it`s their mission, who are ready to accept it with pluses and minuses, work with great pleasure and understand that journalism is a way of life, not only a profession.

  1. He deals with people. In work I like to communicate with different people. During my work in the newspaper and on television, my social circle expanded greatly. As a journalist, I meet new people every day, and some of them are really interesting.

  1. None of us is fond of the man who is a ch a person will not be able to penetrate the soul of a person and penetrate trust in him.

  1. The journalist must be a well-educated man. Journalist needs professional qualities and skills to correspond to the requirements of the Russian modern mass-media. They are: literacy, erudition, style, good practical skills of a journalist, talent, talkative, the Professional etiquette, decency, life experience, figurative thinking, good memory, creative and art abilities.

  1. He must be able to write in clear, simple, direct language. Journalist should write posts interestingly. The best journalists write simple, plain, direct English, generally preferring short words to long ones.

  1. He must be interested in many subjects but not in just one. The dynamics of the media industry dictates the need turning journalists into transprofessionals.

  1. Nobody can say what the best qualifications for a career in journalism are. Each person decides for himself in which field it is best to develop in order to achieve certain career heights. Someone becomes a good TV presenter, someone writes texts and stories, and someone goes to the announcers.
