I asked him if he had ever played a Shakespearian role, and he told me that he had. He’d played Othello in Stradford in 1989, and he had enjoyed it very much. Finally, I asked him if he ever wanted to direct a play, and he told me that he hoped to one day, but he didn’t know when it could happen because he was so busy acting.
