Examples of the texts:

English people celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December.  Christmas trees are  popular symbols of Christmas. Children  decorate the tree with ornaments, lights and garland. The Christmas tree has a star on the top. On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus delivers presents to all the children in the world. He climbs down their chimneys and puts the presents into the stockings. On Christmas Eve, children leave cookies and milk or hot chocolate for Santa Claus. People send Christmas cards to relatives and friends. The families usually have Christmas dinner with turkey and pudding.

Valentine's Day is on February 14th. It is a special day to celebrate love and friendship. On Valentine's Day we give cards, boxes of chocolate and flowers to the people we love. Popular Valentine  Day’s symbols are red and pink hearts, roses  and Cupid. Men and women give each other cards and gifts,  have dinners  at romantic restaurants  and say "I love you."

On St Valentine’s Day many radio stations play romantic music all day long. School children sign Valentine's Day cards and bring them to school for their classmates. St. Valentine’s Day is a very romantic holiday and many people like to celebrate it.
