Conditionals I
Урок 2
Цель: Развитие и совершенствование грамматических навыков.
Сопутствующие задачи: развитие навыков говорения и аудирования, контроль уровня сформированных навыков по теме Conditionals I.
Ход урока.
I Введение.
1.Учитель: We star our lesson with presentation your robot to the Design Challenge Board. Read your instructions.
2.Учитель: You are going to listen to a story. Look at the title on the board and answer my questions
`JACK LONDON AND THE EDITOR`.
a) Who is this story about?
b) What was Jack London?
b) Have you read any of his stories?
c) What does an editor of a magazine or a newspaper usually do?
d) What did the editor want from Jack London?
While- listening
2. Listen to the story and answer the question:
Why did Jack London write to the editor` Dear Dick, if I did all my work with my feet, I would keep my promises, too `?
Jack London was late in delivering a story which he had promised a New York magazine. The editor, after repeated efforts to get the story, at last called at London `s Hotel and sent up the following note `Dear Jack London, if I don receive the story within 24 hours, I’ll come up to your room and kick you downstairs, and I always keep my promises`.
Jack London wrote a reply. `Dear Dick, if I did all my work with my feet, I would keep my promises, too. `
3 .Listen to the story for the second time and say who of the characters has got a great sense of humour. Why do you think so?
Post-listening
4. Imagine that you are the manager of LONDON HOTEL where Jack London is staying. You can see the editor writing a note. You wonder what he is doing at the hotel. Make up a possible dialogue using CONDITIONALS 1
Manager: Morning, sir.
Editor: Morning

Учитель: Pair off. Student A is a younger sister/brother. Student B is his/her elder brother/sister. Student B is doing the homework while student A is watching TV. Your parents aren’t at home. The parents always get angry when you argue. Use CONDITIONALS 1
in B`s part. You may need the phrasal verb` turn off, ` turn down,”
` turn over `.
B. ------/at the top of your voice/.
A. But it’s my favourite cartoon. I want to watch it.
B. .
A. You’re mean. Don’t call me names.
B. ------.
A. O. K. Don’t tell anything to Mum and Dad. They’ll get angry
B I promise.
2. ROLEPLAY
`NEW CINDERELLA`
CARD A
You’re Cinderella `s stepsister. You’re mean. You’re getting ready for the ball in the King’s palace.
You’re sitting in front of your mirror making up your face. You don’t want Cinderella to go to the ball. You’re telling your younger sister Liz to annoy Cinderella.
Remember to:
· give your sister Liz 5-6 instructions what Cinderella must do about the house
· be mean
· say all your instructions in a low voice
· use the structure with CONDITIONALS Ⅰ.IF SHE DOESN`T..., SHE WON`T GO TO THE BALL.
CARD B
You’re Cinderella’s second stepsister. You’re not mean. But your elder sister doesn’t want Cinderella to go to the ball. She always tells you to annoy Cinderella. Now she’s doing the same. You’re obeying her.
Remember to:
· listen to your sister carefully
· tell her instructions to Cinderella
· use the structure with CONDITIONALS Ⅰ. IF YOU DON`T…, YOU WON`T GO TO THE BALL.
CARD C.
STEP 1
You’re Cinderella. You want to go to the ball but your wicked sister doesn’t want you to go to the ball. She likes annoying you. Now she is telling her younger sister to annoy you. Your younger stepsister Liz is telling her instructions to you. They want you to do a lot of things about the house
Agree to everything your elder stepsister tells you to do about the house.
You only do 5 things and then get angry.
STEP 2.
You get angry with your stepsisters, take your mobile phone/you’re very up-to-date/ and call your fairy godmother.
Think of something /somebody your godmother can turn your stepsisters into/ugly animals, birds, etc. /
Tell your stepsisters something to scare them
