Leader 1: When are you happy?

Leader 2: When we are having

A holiday day!

Leader 1: Is it today a holiday day?

Leader 2: Yes, it is!

Leader 1: And what holiday is it today?

Leader 2: It's our birthday party!

Leader 1: You are right. But our birthday party is unusual.

Leader 2: Why? I would like to know.

Leader 1: A minute, please. You can see it.

Ведущие приглашают команды на сцену следующими вопросами.

Leader 1: Who was born in winter?

Команда «Winter Birthday» поднимается на сцену.

«Winter Birthday»: I was born in winter

On a sunny, frosty day.

Winter is the finest season

With bright holidays, Hurray!

Leader 2: Who was born in summer?

Команда «Summer Birthday» поднимается на сцену.

«Summer Birthday»: I was born in summer

On a warm and sunny day.

Summer is the finest season

With long holidays, Hurray!

Далее каждый член команды «Winter Birthday» сообщает дату своего рождения, а представитель команды «Summer Birthday» должен озвучить эту дату видоизменив предложение:

My birthday is on January 7. - His (her) birthday is on the seventh of January.

Затем команды меняются заданиями:

My birthday is on August 26. - His (her) birthday is on the twenty-sixth of August.

Жюри работает по подведению итогов. Кроме приветствия и грамотности высказываний оцениваются костюмы участников. У «Winter Birthday» они могут быть выполнены в белом тоне, у «Summer Birthday» - в ярких летних тонах плюс детская фантазия.

Участники слушают песню в исполнении учащихся средней параллели, поют, выполняют движения:

My friends are one year older (3 times),

Then they were last year.

Now you are one year older (2 times),

How do you feel one year elder

Then you were last year?

Now we can dance around you (2 times)

Because we have your birthday party,

And you are one year older.

And we can say «Best wishes» (2 times)

We can give you a lot of toys,

Leader 1: Thank you, boys and girls! Your song is very nice.

Leader 2: В своей песне ребята уже пели о подарках. Но согласитесь, чтобы получить подарки надо сначала пригласить к себе гостей. Гостям будет приятно, если они увидят, что комната именинника красиво украшена.

Leader 1: Вот мы сейчас и увидим, как подготовятся к встрече гостей наши команды.

Задание 1. Команды получают по набору картинок. Ребята должны расположить эти картинки на демонстрационной или магнитной доске. Картинки: flags, pictures, baloons, flowers, lights, candles, birthday cake, sweets, biscuit, juice, bananas, apples, oranges, ice cream, sandwiches.

Жюри определяет время, за которое каждый член команды должен произнести как можно больше предложений, употребив их с оборотом there is (are): There are some coloured flags in my room. There is a birthday cake on the table. And so on.

Жюри подводит итоги, команды, болельщики и гости смотрят выступление ребят средней параллели.

Leader1: Do you like to see our unusual guest? So, meet him, please.

Leader 2: Конечно, мы все хотим его видеть. Встречаем, ребята.

Two children are in the room. A robot comes in.

Kate and Nick: Hello, what's your name?

Robot: Hi! My name is Robbie.

Kate and Nick: We are Kate and Nick. Oh, where are from?

Robot: I am from Mars. And where am I?

Kate and Nick: You are in our school. How are you, Robbie?

Robot: Fine, thanks. What are you doing here?

Kate: We are waiting for our friends. They have a birthday party today.

Robot: It is so interesting. You see, I am a pupil of «Marsian school». I know a word «party». But what is a birthday?

Nick: Oh, it's a great holiday!

Kate: It's a birthday cake and a lot of baloons.

Nick: Besides it, it's a lot of presents!

Kate: We can play games, sing songs and dance.

Nick: We are going to have a lot of fun!

Kate: And when is your birthday, Robbie?

Robbie: I am very sorry, but I don't know.

Nick: Let us call your mum (passes him a phone).

Robbie: Hello, mum. I'm on the Earth! (to Nick and Kate): My mum asks: Are you my friends?

Nick and Kate: Yes, we are!

Robbie: Mum, I am not afraid on the Earth. They are my friends! Well, mum, thank you! Bye-bye! See you later. (to Nick and Kate) You see, my birthday is on … (he pronounces the date of the party).

Nick and Kate: Oh, it's great! Let us have fun together.

They sing together: It is great! We'll have fun!

We can play, dance and run,

And friend Robbie. He's with us.

Oh, how happy's our class!

Leader1: I know that you like puzzles.

Leader2: Да, головоломки для многих – любимое занятие.

Задание 2 Команды, болельщики (могут заработать дополнительные баллы для команд) и зрители получают карточки с головоломками.

Задание 3. Конкурс капитанов.

Член жюри-учитель проводит капитанскую разминку по вопросам:

4.  Is it in the morning or in the evening?

5.  Who comes to your party?

6.  Does your mother cook birthday cake for you?

7.  Do you help your mum?

8.  Who tidies the rooms in your flat?

Leader 1: Вы слышали, какие подарки наши капитаны считают самыми лучшими. А какие подарки можете вы подарить своим родственникам и друзьям?

Leader 2: Say it in English, please!

Проводится подарочный аукцион. Зрители называют: books, flowers, albums, baloons, cards, toys, clothes, pets, dolls, sweets, chocolates, boxes, cakes and so on. Сказавший последнее слово получает подарок, а его баллы зачисляются любимой команде.

Задание 4 Solve a riddle

При подготовке домашнего задания ребята составили целый ряд вопросов, с целью, как можно быстрее разгадать загадку соперников на тему «Present». Например:

4.  Can it swim (fly)?

Подводятся итоги. Ребята должны уложиться в отведенное время.

Задание 5 Birthday card

Команды представляют свои поздравительные открытки с текстом и рисунком. Зачитывают текст, описывают рисунок. Например:

Dear Mike!

Happy birthday to you!

Have a nice time!

Your friends.

About the pictures: You can see a lot of flowers and baloons. And you can see Mike's face. It is happy!

Жюри готовит сообщение по итогам и награждениям. В это время ребята поздравляют учителя или ученика, чей день рождения был накануне, вручают цветы, сувениры. И поют все вместе:

Happy birthday to you (2 times),

Happy birthday, dear teacher (Olga),

Happy birthday to you!

May your birthday be bright (3 times),

From morning till night!

Подводятся итоги, проводится церемония награждения (не только команд, но и отдельных членов команды за лучшие результаты в том или ином виде деятельности).

5 класс

Тема: We like TV

Задачи: активизация лексики по теме, укрепление дружеских отношений, организация отдыха, развитие творческих способностей;

Форма проведения: встреча-соревнование;

Ход мероприятия

TV? It's cool!

Девочка и мальчик (далее, Boy-leader, Girl-leader, возможно ученики старших классов) заходят в зал, идут к сцене и беседуют:

Boy-leader: Hello, Lucy, are you in a hurry?

Girl-leader: Hello, Mike. I'm very busy. And I am in a hurry.

Boy-leader: Why? What happened? Can I help you?

Girl-leader: You see, my friend, TV-leader Alex, is not well today.

Boy-leader: Are you speaking now about our school TV?

Girl-leader: Oh, yes. A lot of pupils are in front of our TV-set. They are expecting for our school TV-programme.

Boy-leader: What's on TV today?

Girl-leader: The programme is very interesting. We are going to have a competition.

Boy-leader: Don't worry. I am ready to help you.

Girl-leader: Oh, Mike, thank you. It's great! So, let's begin.

Ведущие поднимаются на сцену. Она оформлена как телеэкран.

Girl-leader: Hello, boys and girls. Hello to all our guests. It's pleasant to meet you.

Have a nice time. And meet the second TV-leader.

Boy-leader: Hello, I'm Mike. And I will try to help Lusy. And it's a pleasure for me.

Girl-leader: Dear friends, today you can watch a very interesting competition.

Boy-leader: And we are meeting our teams!

Под аплодисменты команды выходят на сцену. Одна команда – сборная 5-х классов школы-организатора встречи, другая сборная 5-х классов – соседней школы.

Girl-leader: We are very happy today. We are having visitors from school № … Let us meet them.

Все скандируют: You are welcome!

Boy-leader: And first of all, our interviews.

Boy-leader and Girl-leader поочередно берут интервью у команд (Задание 1):

1.  What's your name?

2.  Are you happy today? Why?

3.  What are your favourite school days?

4.  What are your favourite lessons?

5.  What do you usually do on your English lessons?

6.  Do you want to do to England? Why?

7.  What are your favourite books about?

8.  Have you got a lot of friends?

10.  Do you like watching TV?

Жюри подводит итоги: реакция, грамотность, количество предложений в ответе.

Задание 2

Команды слушают рассказ. Затем каждая команда получает набор карточек с картинками по содержанию рассказа. На демонстрационных досках, расположенных напротив, располагаются команды. Они должны расставить карточки согласно содержанию текста за определенный промежуток времени.

Второй этап задания – передача содержания по картинкам. Учитывается затраченное время, правильность расположения картинок, грамотность изложения содержания.

Story:

1.  Jack likes to go to the park.

2.  Jack is standing and listening to the birds' singing.

3.  He hears the sounds «mew-mew».

4.  Jack doesn't know who says «mew-mew».
