In the evening I have my dinner. I often have fish and pasta for my dinner. I like fish very much. It is useful. Our family likes salad for dinner. We have it every evening. I like a glass of warm milk. It's useful and yummy.

Leader 1: Meet the main guests of our club. They are the Petrovs.

Leader 2: Let me introduce them: Ivan Petrovich Petrov, the father of the family, the mother of the family Anna Ivanovna Petrova, their daughter Nelly and their son Mike.

Leader 1: How do you do, dear guests. It's a pleasure to meet you in our school club. We hope, we will have a nice time.

Leader 1: Dear Ivan Petrovich, what are you?

Ivan Petrovich: I am a journalist. And thanks to my profession I often visit foreign countries.

Leader 1: You see, I am a school correspondent. My name is Mary. Will you answer some questions?

I. P. : I'll do it with great pleasure.

Leader 1: where did you arrive last?

I. P.: My last visit was to London.

Leader 1: How do you like London?

I. P.: I'd like to say, that London is one of the largest cities in the world. And it is the largest city in Europe. And you know that London is the capital of Great Britain.

Leader 1: Have you got any pictures or a film about London?

The guest shows the pictures or a film and comment:

Look at the St. Paul's Cathedral. It is one of the famous ancient buildings. And it is the greatest English churches.

This is the Tower of London. In past it was a citadel, palace, prison. Now it's a museum.

Now look at the bridge over the river Thames. This bridge is the most famous. You can see that I have visited the museum inside it.

Westminster Abbey has got Clock Tower with the famous bell Big Ben. Westminster Abbey, or the Houses of Parliament, is the place where the British Parliament sits.

This is the British Museum. It's the biggest museum in London. It is famous for its library and it has got a lot of different collections.

Trafalgar Square is one of the symbols of London. You can see the famous Nelson's Column.

The Houses of Parliament is the place where the British Parliament sits.

Buckingham Palace is the Queen's official residence. In summer, when the Queen is on holiday, her 6 hundred rooms are open to visitors.

Leader 1: Thank you for your story. I am sure that our boys and girls would like to ask you some questions.

I. P: I am ready to answer them.

Questions:

1.  What forms of transport do you like? And how did you travel to London?

I. P.: I like to travel by plane. It's my favourite form of transport.

2. How long did your journey take?

I. P.: It took me about ten hours. But it was pleasant and comfortable. It was the night flight. And I arrived in London before lunch.

3. Will it take you long to go through the customs?

I. P.: No, I haven't got anything to declare.

Leader 2: Dear Friends, our guest has got some very interesting souvenirs from London.

i. P.: I would like to give them to the pupils who have learned much about Great Britain.

4.  Where is there the famous Speaker's Corner of London?

6.  Where are the famous wax figures?

It is financial and business centre. 4. There is the famous Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park. There you can say anything you like to the public. 5. Picadilly is a square with a lot of souvenir shops, cafe and restaurants. 6. The famous wax figures are in the Madame Tussaud's Museum.

The pupils with the best answeres get presents and souvenirs. Some of the pupils got the cards with the puzzle about the main industrial centres of Great Britain.

Study the puzzle. There are the names of seven main industrial cities of Great Britain. Try to find them.
