Summary: There were essential distinctions in the clinical presentation of community-acquired pneumonia in young men with normal mass of a body and with malnutrition. We concluded that the course of community-acquired pneumonia was heavier in patients with malnutrition.

Summary: The main professional hazards in ferrochrome production include noise, unfavorable microclimate, low artificial light in combination with aerosols primarily of fibrogenic activity, chemicals in the dust and electromagnetic fields of industrial frequency 50Hz. Corresponding preventive measures for the decrease of harmful action of unfavorable factors on the personnel were developed and are in the process of introduction.

Summary: Biomonitoring reflects chemical substance exposure level in the enterprise deposited in the body as a cumulative dose, being a necessary addition to hygienic control over the working atmosphere. Increased concentrations of harmful substances in the body are a convincing argument for diagnosis of occupational and occupation-associated diseases of chemical etiology.
