The federal budget for 2008, and through 2010, is the first such document to appropriate funds for civil shipbuilding and for construction and leasing projects of river and sea craft. This funding will total 2.1 *****bles in 2008, 2.9 *****bles in 2009, and 4.4 *****bles in 2010.

4.5 Transportation Services and Infrastructure

A serious hindrance to the development of various sectors of the economy, integration into the international economic space and full realization of the strategic potential of the Russian Federation is the unsatisfactory condition of the transportation infrastructure.

Federal appropriations under the transportation article are aimed first of all at providing the economy with a reliable and modernized transportation infrastructure (table 4.4).
